Sunny Sunday in Kreuzberg, Berlin

Scroll down to content

We only planned to visit the East Side Gallery to see the murals on a remaining section of the old Berlin Wall leaving the rest of our sunny afternoon meanderings in Kreuzberg up in the air.

We ended up dancing at a Turkish family picnic, wandering through an old squat, patting ponies in a community garden, drinking beer at a riverside protest rave, and listening to some beautiful trombone busking outside a railway station.

I don’t think we ticked off much on any official list of things to do in Kreuzberg but it was an afternoon we’ll remember.
